Joanna Newlands, LPN CF-M CLT C-PED
Joanna Newlands resides in Castle Hill, Maine. She is married to Todd and has two children, Nick and Landyn. She is a graduate of Presque Isle High School and obtained an Associate degree in Nursing at Northern Maine Technical College. She has worked locally for many years as a nurse at Pines Health Care and Full Circle Health Care. After surviving a battle with breast cancer in 2004, Joanna felt compelled to help women in Northern Maine affected by cancer. She obtained Mastectomy Fitting training and is certified by the American Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics. Joanna does measuring, fitting, and color matching for therapeutic wigs and finds it very gratifying to help women feel good about themselves and “feel whole again.” She attended the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, attaining her Certification in Lymphatic Studies as a Therapist in Manual Lymph Drainage, which allows her to work with patients with venous and lymphedema disorders. Most recently, Joanna has obtained certification through the American Board of Orthotics and Prosthetics as a Pedorthist, allowing her to address and treat patients with medical conditions of the foot through the use of pedorthic devices. Joanna is patient oriented and always seeking ways to improve the quality of life for her patients.
